Lately I have been using a work of art by Cy Twombly as my startup screen. It's crayon scribbles on paper. And it's in the MOMA. One of my college professors noticed my deviation from standard painting practices and recommended I check out Twombly as an example of an abstract "painter" who used more than paint. I honestly do not feel a tremendous emotional connection to Twombly's work except in the following two ways: One, its freedom. Two, it reminds me that anything can be art.
